Getting the most out of your visit to BigVillage
This page will assist you to find your way around the Village and get more out of your visit.
Searching BigVillage
You can search listings by using the function in the green column at the left. This allows you to search by category (Accommodation, Travel Tip & Travel Tale). You can also search by name if you already know what you’re looking for (e.g. Hatton Hotel) or by code if you want to revisit a recommendation you’ve seen earlier.
If you want more search options simply use the navigation menu across the top of the page. For example, if you drop down Accommodation you will find Search Accommodation which will give you the further options of searching by style (Hotel, Bed and Breakfast, Apartment, etc) and by price (Low, Mid & Premium). Alternatively, the Google Search bar is useful for less specific searches, e.g. "travelling solo".
Search Results
When you submit your search you will be presented with a list of all results. At the bottom of each listing you’ll see a series of links.
Read all reviews
This link will take you to other independent reviews of the same business and indicates the number of reviews available, thus (2).
Review it!
If you’ve been to the business reviewed you can add your comments by clicking the link.
Add to Itinerary
This feature allows you to compile a list of favourites as you browse the listings. You can build your itinerary for various areas you want to visit. In your Member’s Page you are able to browse and edit your itinerary as you wish.
